Memories before quarantine
Before Corona everything was better. You could meet your friends, but now you have to stay at home and you can’t go outside. I also don’t like online school. You can see your friends on the computer but can’t meet them real. You must wear a mask if you go outside But you can’t really breathe with them. It seems like Corona is everywhere - in the human lungs, in the news and it’s also in my head while I sleep. If you go outside, you’ll always see posters printed with “wear masks” or “keep distance”.  I’m really worried about old people who aren’t strong enough to stay alive. Hopefully the virus leaves, so we can live without limits. I’ll be so happy, when I  go back to school and see my friends.

Corona Time
During the corona virus pandemic her country forbids anybody to go outside. She and her family are stuck in their little apartment on the fifth floor. They are a family of seven in a single bedroom apartment. Her parents, her brother, her sister, her sister’ s husband and child and her. Her sister and family sleep in the bedroom with her little brother and she and her mum sleep on the couch while her dad has to sleep on a towel on the floor. Every day a truck comes by and brings each family food. She spends her time helping her mother in the house or taking care of her little brother. Her father and her sister’s husband are day labourers, but they can’ t find work anywhere, so the family has no income. Nobody else works in the family or can work, except her. She takes her clothes and uses the fabric to make masks. After she’ s finished, she sneaks around the building and sells them to the neighbours. She knocks on every single door, but soon she runs out of doors to knock on, so she moves onto the next building and so on. She has to be careful so she doesn’t get caught, because if she does, her family has to pay a huge fine they can’t afford. Without the money she makes, her family would be on the streets by now.

Before Corona
It´s Wednesday at noon, Filipa has a short break from Home-Schooling. And thinks about the time before Corona.
Filipa saw her friends almost every day. They had a lot of fun at school. Whether in class or during breaks. She and her friends could talk, play or laugh together, now they can only talk over the mobile phone. But Filipa misses the school lessons at school too because there they had more fun than lonely at home.
After school Filipa usually went to her gymnast training that she had three times a week. Now she has video conferencing. But that´s not as much fun as in the gym because she can´t see her friends and trainer. And they can´t train on the gymnastic equipment.
In Filipa´s free time she went to friends, to the dog school or she and her family went to a restaurant. But Filipa also did many trips with her family or traveled to another country.
Filipa misses the funny, cool and very nice time before Corona. She misses her friends, teachers and trainers. But also, the school, gymnastic training, any trips with her family and a little bit the shopping tours.

The time before Corona

Claire was already stuck at home for weeks. She was bored the whole time. Almost every day she thought about the time before quarantine. The last week in ’’freedom’’ was very funny and exciting. On Monday she woke up in the morning, ate breakfast and got ready. She drove to school with her friend and they talked a lot about weasels. She was at school for nine hours and was having fun with her friends. After school Claire met her friend and they went shopping for an hour. After that she went home and ate dinner with her parents. An hour later they finished the dinner and Claire went in her room and painted a picture. At 8 pm she went to bed. On Tuesday morning it went like on Monday. In school she watched a film in geography. When school was over Claire went horse riding for some hours and when she came back home, she ate and went to bed. Wednesday and Thursday went almost like the first two days of the week, but on Friday at school when Claire was sitting in class, the headteacher came in and said, that the students were going to be homeschooled and everyone was happy. But now Claire wished that quarantine was over.
